The retained reports describe Internet access failing in normal Windows while working in Safe Mode, or an Unidentified network state, with Avast or COMODO network filtering implicated. Safe Mode connectivity by itself does not identify a particular security product.

  1. Confirm which named suite and network filter are installed, record its version and obtain the approved replacement or reinstall package before removal.
  2. Use that product’s supported uninstaller to remove the one implicated suite, then restart normally. Do not remove unrelated security products as a trial.
  3. Test the same network connection and verify that Windows Security or the approved replacement provides active protection.
  4. If connectivity returns, use a compatible corrected product or approved alternative. Do not leave the computer without active protection.

Both source cases reported restored Internet access after the implicated suite was removed. If your result differs, restore the approved configuration and investigate the actual network failure instead of repeating security-software removal.
