This is a historical add-in 1394 FireWire card comparison. Do not remove an unidentified board or change another connection at the same time.
- Computer does not shut down since installing Windows 10
- Removed the legacy 1394 FireWire expansion card and repeated the shutdown test, then reinstalled it to reproduce the failure.
Reported outcome: Shutdown worked with the card removed and failed again when it was reinstalled.
Shut down and disconnect power before either removal or reinstallation; follow the computer’s service procedure and record the slot/connections. Preserve any FireWire device dependency while testing.
