Privacy policy
Effective September 13, 2026
Scope and contact
TechXplored, based in Washington, United States, is responsible for the account and licensing data described here. This policy covers Security Video Inspector product, billing, account and activation services. It does not describe unrelated TechXplored editorial pages or third-party websites. Contact techxplored.xyz@gmail.com about this policy or a privacy request.
Account and support information
Our self-hosted customer-login service processes your username, email address, password credentials, email-verification status and sign-in records. The billing app receives account identifiers, your verified email and display name, and maintains expiring login sessions.
If you contact support, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to attach. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card details or sensitive recordings.
Billing information
Paddle collects checkout and payment details under its own privacy notice. We receive customer, subscription and transaction identifiers, plan information, subscription status, billing dates and payment totals needed to provide and support access. The billing location you enter is sent to Paddle to calculate tax and prepare checkout. We do not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes in our billing database.
Device and technical information
Desktop activation processes installation/device identifiers, a device name, a device public key, activation and expiry timestamps, and security records used to validate requests and enforce the device limit.
Our servers process connection information such as IP addresses, request times and error logs to operate the services, investigate faults and protect accounts. Essential session cookies support sign-in; the payment provider may use cookies and related technologies described in its privacy notice.
Purpose and service providers
We use this information to create accounts, verify email, provide subscriptions and desktop access, calculate billing totals, send account messages, handle support, prevent abuse and meet applicable obligations. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, these uses support our contract with you, legal obligations or legitimate interests in operating and securing the service.
Paddle handles payment and billing information. Google's Gmail service delivers our verification, password-reset and support emails. Service providers and their infrastructure may process information outside your country under their own applicable safeguards and privacy terms. We may also disclose information where legally required or necessary to address fraud or protect rights.
Recordings
The web checkout and licensing services do not upload your video files or analysis results. Footage analysis is performed on your computer. If you voluntarily send files to support or to another service, that is a separate disclosure you control.
Retention and requests
We retain account, activation and billing records as needed to provide the service, handle security incidents or disputes, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Copies can remain in protected backups until those backups are retired. Closing an account does not automatically erase records that must be retained.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, or restrict or object to processing of your personal information, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Send requests to our contact email; we may need to verify your identity. Contact Paddle separately for requests about information it controls.
